01.04.2014. Sean Gelael (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) is going to contest his second FIA Formula 3 European Championship season. With the experience of the learning year under his belt, the 17-year-old Indonesian now wants to score as many points as possible.

Could you please describe you with three words?
Commitment, determination, contentedness.

How do you prepare for a race weekend?
I visit my team to work in the simulator. In addition, I discuss the forthcoming race weekend with the engineers and the mechanics. And it goes without saying that I also mentally and physically prepare for the races.

Which drivers is your role model?
I think Lewis Hamilton is great as he tries to be more than just a racing driver. He is perceived as a strong character aloof from the racetrack, too. That’s something I’d also love to achieve.

Which track is your favourite circuit?
Silverstone is my favourite circuit. Driving a Formula 3 car there is big fun. In addition, I have great memories of Silverstone as I secured my first Formula 3 podium there, last year.

What are you doing when you are at home?
I also have got a lot to do when being at home. This winter I still went to school and now, I’m going to begin my university studies before long. In addition, I regularly work on my fitness to prepare for the races. And I love to play basketball – it’s one of my favourite hobbies.

You love music. Who are your favourites?
I generally love to listen to Hip-Hop and like the entire Hip-Hop culture. This enthusiasm was born several years ago. As Indonesian driver in the European kart sport, life was hard for me, at times. But the Hip-Hop tunes and the Hip-Hop culture helped me to cope with this phase of my career.
